Britney Spears guest starred on How I Met Your Mother this week and gave the show its highest ratings ever. Bloggers were very chatty about Brittney and her role on a sitcom. Could this be her comeback?

According to RelevantNoise the tone of the posts is overwhelmingly positive with 75% of the posts feeling the love for Brit. Some bloggers were just happy to see Britney making a comeback. Others speculate if she will do another guest spot . One thing is for sure, bloggers are rooting for Britney. While others commented on how good she looked.

With the good of course comes the bad. But in this case the bad wasn’t so … well bad. Some bloggers were more negative about the hype than the actual performance. While others were hesitant to give her any praise saying her performance was “above par”.

All in all, I think having Britney Spears as a guest star was a good thing for HIMYM, their ratings were up and people are talking. For a show that has been on the “endangered list”(and the upfronts are coming soon) positive chatter can go a long ways.
